About me

Finding the right counsellor is about more than qualifications. It is about feeling understood, respected, and safe enough to talk openly. This page is a little more about who I am, how I work, and what you can expect if you choose to work with me.

Who am I?

I am Raine Thomas, a humanistic counsellor and self-awareness coach based in Worthing, West Sussex. I work with adults who are experiencing emotional difficulties, feeling overwhelmed by life, or struggling to understand where they fit or what they need next.

People often come to me during periods of change or uncertainty. This might be linked to anxiety, grief, relationships, confidence, identity, or simply a sense of feeling lost or disconnected. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you in understanding yourself more clearly, so you can make choices that feel right for you.

I offer both in-person counselling in Worthing and online sessions, supporting clients across West Sussex, including Brighton and Chichester.

My Experience

My experience includes working with people from many different backgrounds, each bringing their own story, challenges, and strengths. I have supported clients through anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and questions around identity and belonging.

Alongside counselling, I offer self-awareness coaching, which takes a deeper look at how you experience the world and how you relate to yourself and others. This can be especially helpful if you feel stuck in repeating patterns, unsure of your boundaries, or disconnected from your sense of self.

I work in a way that is collaborative and respectful. Sessions move at your pace, and what we focus on is guided by what feels most important to you. Over time, many clients find that they gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of balance in their lives.
